Dustin performs two free shows in Italy this month, information for both are available on the live page.

June 18th, Opera Prima Festival, Rovigo, Italy
June 19th, Hana-bi, Ravenna, Italy (Solo piano show)

Featuring a score by Dustin,  “A Spy Among Friends” is now streaming on itvx. An incredible true story brilliantly directed by Nick Murphy, featuring Guy Pearce, Damian Lewis and Anna Maxwell Martin.

Dustin recently spoke to Indiewire.com about the process of writing the score:

O’Halloran also deliberately avoided the language of prestige television, the soaring strings and mournful horns that give the viewer an overly simple answer to scenes of nuance and ambiguity. “I wanted it to sound modern,” O’Halloran told IndieWire, “in a way that you would feel like you were in it today and you didn’t feel like you were in a history piece.”

The full interview is available here.

For the first time in years, Dustin O’Halloran will be on a solo tour around the EU and UK in October and November, with music from his ‘Silfur’ record and also some new material. Clarice Jensen will be performing as his special guest.

Silfur, Dustin O’Halloran’s new solo album, is out now. It features new recordings of thirteen compositions from previous albums, including four new string arrangements, and is framed by two new pieces.

The final piece on the album is ‘Constellation No. 2’, co-written by Gyða Valtýsdóttir. The beautiful music video below was created by film-maker and photographer Anna Maggý.

Silfur was recorded in Iceland in 2020, and is a bridge linking Dustin’s repertoire from past to present.
