‘ATOMOS’ Reviews

A Winged Victory For The Sullen’s new album ATOMOS is now available at all fine record stores. The second offering from the collaboration of Dustin O’Halloran and Adam Wiltzie (Stars Of The Lid) is an original score for contemporary choreographer Wayne McGregor’s (London Royal Ballet) newest dance piece ATOMOS.

Here is what the press have to say:

“Eleven pieces of music that ring with a mini-maximalism unique to AWVFTS, enveloping you deeper in their splendour with every listen.”  9/10
Loud and Quiet Magazine

“Atomos is an outstanding, thoughtful piece of work which should see their reputation rise to a new high”  4,5/5

“It’s as elegant and grandiose and soothing and enveloping as it ever was”  8/10
Drowned in Sound

“The beauty of this record lies primarily in its poise and composure; that it sounds fantastic, at times, just feels like an added bonus”  8/10
– The Line of Best Fit

“Plenty of room is left amongst the arrangements to allow the mind to wander, for images to be conjured, for the music to wrap itself around you.”
– Igloo Magazine

A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Dustin O’Halloran’s collaboration with Adam Wiltzie, finally reveals their second full-length album entitled ATOMOS, which besides familiar piano, string and drone sounds also sees the duo introduce flurries of electronics, harp and modular synthesisers.

The album is out in all formats today, including a beautifully packaged Limited Edition Clear Double Vinyl. ATOMOS is available through Kranky (North America) and Erased Tapes (ROW).
